Václav Havel Airport Prague, the nation’s largest international airport and primary gateway to the world, has successfully modernized its mission-critical communications by integrating TASSTA’s advanced broadband platform with its existing TETRA radio network. This milestone ensures faster, safer, and more efficient operations across passenger services, technical maintenance, cargo logistics, and security.

For years, Prague Airport has relied on TETRA for secure, resilient voice communications. While the system excelled in delivering reliable and encrypted voice coverage, its narrowband limitations created a challenge as modern airport operations increasingly demanded high-speed data, images, and video.

To address this, the airport launched a comprehensive trial in 2024 with TASSTA, a mission-critical communication solution running over 4G and 5G networks, in partnership with DCom, spol. s r.o. Following a successful year-long evaluation, TASSTA was fully deployed in 2025 on the airport’s private infrastructure and seamlessly integrated with its TETRA system.

Key capabilities now available at Prague Airport include:

• Secure multimedia sharing of photos, videos, and documents

• Precise indoor and outdoor location tracking, supported by Bluetooth beacons
