Tait Communications has been named a finalist for the PwC Hi-Tech Company of the Year, the highest honor at the New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards, underscoring its strong performance and leadership in the global critical communications sector.

The finalists were officially announced on Thursday, with the award recognizing outstanding achievement across revenue growth, sustained innovation, commercial success, strategic execution, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance. Judged by an international panel of industry experts, the category represents the pinnacle of New Zealand’s hi-tech industry.

Tait Communications joins a distinguished group of finalists, including Aroa Biosurgery, Auror, Dawn Aerospace, Gallagher Group, and Halter.

A global provider of open-standard communications solutions, Tait enables organizations worldwide to keep communities safe, teams connected, and critical operations running efficiently.

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Yoram Benit, said the recognition reflects the company’s consistent growth and commitment to innovation.

“This achievement is a testament to our people and their dedication to delivering world-class critical communications solutions,” Benit said. “Being named a finalist for the second consecutive year reinforces our trajectory as a trusted and innovative global partner.”

Tait Communications also continues its longstanding support of the industry through its sponsorship of the Flying Kiwi Award, which honors individuals making significant contributions to New Zealand’s hi-tech sector. The company’s founder, Sir Angus Tait, was the inaugural recipient of the award in 2003.

The New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards celebrate excellence across a broad range of industries, including telecommunications, software, electronics, and agritech, highlighting the sector’s growing contribution to the national economy.

Winners will be announced at the 2026 Hi-Tech Awards Gala Dinner, taking place on May 22 at Spark Arena in Auckland.
