Paris, France – RATP Group has taken another major step toward modernizing mission-critical communications with the latest field trial of its Radio Network of the Future (RRF), bringing the next-generation platform closer to operational deployment. 

Building on the successful verification phase completed during regular service in 2025, the new pre-deployment trial is being carried out with the Network Protection and Security Group (GPSR), enabling the solution to be evaluated in real operational environments. 

During the trial, GPSR personnel are equipped with nearly 50 RRF-enabled smartphones and a suite of command post applications, allowing security teams to test advanced communication capabilities and digital services while performing their daily duties. 

The initiative is designed to validate system performance, fine-tune network configurations, and gather feedback from frontline users to further optimize the platform for operational needs. Insights from the trial will help shape best practices and support the next phase of deployment. 

The Radio Network of the Future represents a key milestone in RATP's digital transformation strategy, delivering secure, reliable, and modern communications that enhance coordination, situational awareness, and operational efficiency for public transport security teams. 

As testing continues, the latest field trial marks another significant step in ensuring the RRF is fully prepared to meet the demands of real-world operations and future network-wide deployment.
