Radlink has successfully completed the delivery of a major critical communications upgrade for a large-scale mining operation in Queensland, reinforcing the company’s expertise in mission-critical network deployment and operational support for the mining sector.

The project involved the design, engineering, installation, and commissioning of a new 15-site DAMM TETRA communications system, delivered in less than 12 months. The new network replaces a legacy communications platform that had reached end-of-support status, providing the mining operation with a modern and future-ready critical communications infrastructure.

As part of the deployment, Radlink managed a seamless migration from the previous network while also carrying out the full decommissioning of the legacy system. The transition was completed with minimal disruption to mining operations, ensuring continuous availability of mission-critical communications throughout the upgrade process.

The newly deployed DAMM TETRA system is now fully supported by Radlink’s on-site technical support team, complemented by the company’s 24/7/365 Technical Assistance Centre based in Brisbane. The support framework is designed to maintain high system reliability and operational performance in demanding mining environments where uninterrupted communications are essential for safety and productivity.

Radlink said the successful completion of the project highlights the company’s continued commitment to engineering excellence, operational resilience, and the delivery of reliable critical communications solutions for Australia’s mining industry.

The deployment also reflects increasing demand across the mining sector for robust, scalable, and future-ready communications systems capable of supporting workforce safety, operational coordination, and mission-critical connectivity in remote and high-intensity industrial environments.
