HMF Smart Solutions participated for the first time as an official partner of the Hyperconnectivity Campus (HCC) during the event “HCC Live: AI-driven Industry Automation” on June 25 in Eschweiler. Together with its partner ReAct Now, HMF showcased an innovative solution for frontline communication and real-time task management—demonstrated live in an active logistics environment.

The Hyperconnectivity Campus (HCC) is a joint initiative by Detecon and Hammer Advanced Logistics. It provides companies with a unique environment to test, validate, and further develop digital technologies under real-world manufacturing and logistics conditions. The campus focuses on industrial connectivity, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, digital twins, and resilient supply chains. All communication is carried over a Private 5G network provided by T-Systems, which serves as the HCC’s central connectivity platform.

DIGITIZING THE LAST MILE TO THE SHOP FLOOR

During the event, HMF and ReAct Now presented their joint solution for frontline worker safety and real-time work order communication. The solution combines HMF’s ACCESSNET® MCXcommunication platform with ReAct Now’s intelligent task management system.

Work orders can be created, prioritized, reassigned, and documented in real time. At the same time, employees have immediate access to relevant information through Push-to-Talk (PTT), voice, and data services, enabling direct communication with colleagues, teams, or control centers whenever required.

This delivers significant benefits for logistics, manufacturing, and critical operations:

  • Faster response times to incidents and changing priorities

  • Increased productivity through more efficient workforce coordination

  • Enhanced safety for frontline employees and lone workers

  • Complete transparency and traceability of tasks and communication processes

  • Greater operational resilience for mission-critical workflows

By combining Mission Critical Services (MCX) with Private 5G, the solution delivers highly reliable, low-latency, and secure communications. In industrial environments where rapid decision-making and dependable communication are essential, this represents a significant advantage over conventional communication systems.

LOOKING AHEAD: AI-POWERED OPERATIONS

The demonstrated solution also provides an excellent foundation for integrating artificial intelligence. In the future, IoT data could be analysed automatically, tasks could be prioritized intelligently, and employees could be proactively alerted to critical situations. This makes the combination of intelligent task management, MCX, and Private 5G a key building block for the digital industry of tomorrow.
