
Paris, France – September 2026 — The deployment of France’s Réseau Radio du Futur (RRF) continues to expand, with new organisations across the country’s public safety, emergency response and healthcare sectors signing agreements to join the nationwide critical communications network.
The latest organisations to join the RRF include the Cher, Sarthe and Yvelines departmental fire and rescue services (SDIS); SAMU emergency medical services in Aude, Drôme and Gironde; the Centre Hospitalier Sud Francilien; and the Wambrechies Municipal Police.
For each organisation, signing an RRF membership agreement marks the beginning of its transition towards access to a secure, resilient, interoperable and prioritised very-high-speed critical communications infrastructure.
Public safety, emergency response and healthcare organisations are increasingly required to work together during major emergencies and crisis situations. In such environments, the ability to communicate and exchange information across agencies in real time is becoming increasingly important.
The RRF is designed to strengthen operational coordination by enabling emergency personnel from different organisations to communicate more effectively, share information instantly and improve interoperability between teams operating in the field.
The network provides a common communications environment for public safety and emergency services, supporting secure and prioritised communications while enabling high-speed multimedia capabilities.
The latest memberships are part of the continuing nationwide deployment of the RRF among France’s territorial and public safety organisations.
The expanding RRF community includes regional government authorities, departmental councils, fire and rescue services, healthcare organisations and municipal police forces, creating a broader communications ecosystem designed to support cross-agency coordination during everyday operations as well as major emergencies.
The RRF is being developed by ACMOSS as a common communications system for security, emergency response and urgent medical assistance organisations. It is designed to combine high-speed connectivity with resilience, interoperability and communications prioritisation, supporting voice, video, messaging, geolocation and other data services across field and command-centre environments.
With further organisations continuing to join, the RRF is becoming an increasingly important component of France’s transition towards next-generation broadband mission-critical communications, bringing public safety and emergency organisations onto a common digital communications platform.
