In a strategic collaboration with Skydio, Verizon has integrated the X10 drone into its frontline crisis response operations. Chris Sanders, a senior manager with the Verizon Frontline Crisis Response Team, highlighted the X10's AI capabilities, enabling enhanced functionalities such as autonomous flight, both partial and full.

Sanders emphasized the drone's ability to stream video directly to involved agencies via a shareable link, streamlining communication and reducing the need for extensive equipment during operations. This advancement marks a significant modernization of Verizon's fleet, propelling its capabilities to new heights while ensuring adaptability for future challenges.

The Frontline Crisis Response Team, operating around the clock, provides crucial emergency support to government agencies and responders. The introduction of the X10 replaces several existing drones, offering a versatile solution for various tasks including search and rescue, thermal mapping, and crisis situational awareness.

Highlighted features of the X10 include a 40-minute flight duration, rapid 40-second power-up time, and a top speed of 45 mph. Equipped with multiple cameras, including telephoto and radiometric thermal for low-light scenarios, it ensures comprehensive coverage during missions.

The inclusion of NightSense technology enables autonomous flight with obstacle avoidance in low-light conditions, ensuring seamless crisis response operations 24/7. Callan Carpenter, chief revenue officer at Skydio, lauded the X10 as the pinnacle of autonomous drone technology, expressing pride in its utilization by the Verizon Frontline team to aid first responders in critical situations.

Carpenter underscored the importance of technology in extreme environments, reaffirming Skydio's commitment to supporting frontline responders in their mission to save lives.
